I need help. How do I change the pronunciation of the word In Balabolka?
I have an American English voice engine.
I changed the pronunciation of the word "practised" in the Pronunciator Corrector in Balabolka to sound like "practist". But the word, in the Text Window, is read out unchanged. e.g. practised is read out in the American way as "pract taist", like baptist. and not the British way.
But in the Pronunciation Corrector it was pornounced the British way when typed as "practist"
Leong WM, Hi, you can try switching from text pronunciation to phoneme pronunciation, then you can build the word from the bank of sounds. There are two types of phoneme sets, and they don't work with every type of voice. (For instance, text, phoneme, and phoneme IPA all work with Ivona 2 voices, but I know phonemes don't work for Microsoft Online voices.)
Hope this helps! God bless!
into the space you want the pause to be for. Change the number to make the pause longer or shorter.

< silence msec="03"/ >
But, take the spaces out before and after the < and > symbols. (Leave the space between "silence" and "msec".)
